Media Callbacks
The application supplies media callbacks so the signaling/media-transport layer can exchange encoded media with the product's audio or video pipeline. This keeps codec implementation, device I/O and rendering under application control.
| Callback | Purpose |
|---|---|
MEDIA_CONTEXT_CREATE_CB | Creates application media state for a full-duplex media session or call context. |
MEDIA_CONTEXT_DESTROY_CB | Releases a media context previously created for the session. |
MEDIA_SET_FORMAT_CB | Notifies the application of the media format selected or negotiated for the active media context. The application should configure its codec/media pipeline accordingly. |
MEDIA_DECODE_AND_RENDER_CB | Receives encoded media from the transport path. The application decodes and renders it immediately or queues it according to its media architecture. |
MEDIA_CAPTURE_AND_ENCODE_CB | Called while media transmission is active. The application captures a media frame, encodes it and makes the encoded data available to the transport path. |
Media ownership
SK400VOP intentionally does not prescribe a particular codec library, audio device API or buffering architecture. The application is responsible for:
- media-device selection and configuration;
- codec creation and teardown;
- capture and rendering;
- buffering, jitter management or scheduling required by the product;
- honoring the negotiated media format reported through the callback interface.
The exact callback prototypes, buffer arguments and return values are defined by the headers supplied with the licensed build.
